Last year I moved into a cute cottage style rental house. I was still unpacking boxes but wanted my exterior front porch to have some curb appeal and holiday cheer. And the best way to do that was to purchase a few classy and neutral front porch Christmas decorations.

Christmas Decorations for the Front Porch
The first thing I bought for my porch was a 26″ wreath. I loved that the lights on this wreath can change color from white Christmas lights or multi-colored and it also has a built in timer. If you live in an apartment or rental house, a wreath is an easy way to add Christmas cheer to your front door!
I was shopping on a budget and visited WalMart for the remainder of my Christmas porch decor. I purchased two large silver elk to sit in front of each column on my porch. Fluffed and installed two 3.5′ tall flocked Christmas trees beside the front door. And then I added a snowflake throw pillow to my adirondack chair.
This year I want to buy a festive doormat and after that wrap the front columns with garland to add to my front porch Christmas decorations. I would love more ideas for making my porch feel more homey and cheerful this December. Please share Christmas decorating ideas in the comment section! Bonus points if they are small budget friendly and rental friendly.
