Christmas is quickly approaching and the kids are more eager to celebrate than ever. I was mulling over Advent ideas when I thought of our letterpress tray. I bought it earlier this year from a vintage shop. It sits on a dresser in our dining area and today our letterpress tray became our advent calendar!

I cut up 25 pieces of kraft paper to match the slots, leaving some excess for the paper to bend stamped each piece then assigned a number. On the back, I attached a piece of candy and a daily advent passage with a piece of painter’s tape.

  1. Love the idea of using a letterpress tray for Advent! Every time I see a letterpress, I totally want to get it, but haven't found one is lovely condition!

  2. What a clever advent calendar. We don't do this traditionally, but I am this {} close to starting it. I also love that you have a collection of holiday stamps.

  3. you should! I like the anticipation it builds for our kids. And with all the consumerism around I like that it focuses on the reason for Christmas.
